I. Pre writing:
1. Pre teach vocabulary:
- Use pictures on page 142 to elicit words from ss.

- Remove the old paper and load the new paper in the paper input tray.
- Wait for the power button to flash.
- Have the pages appear on the computer screen.
- Click the printer icon on the screen and wait for a few seconds.
- The printed paper will come out of the output path in a minute.
IV. Homework:
- Learn by heart vocabulary.
- Do exercise 7 in workbook.

I. Present perfect with yet and already: L.F 1, 2.
1. Presentation:


*Set the scene: Ba’s mother has just been back from the market. She wanted him
to do some housework while she was at the market, Ba made notes in his diary and
checked (V) the work he has done. Look at the diary and complete the dialogue
using “yet” and “already” .
- Give and example: Yes, I've finished my homework.
- Have Ss give their answer.
* Answer key:

+ I have already turned off the washing machine.
+ I have already called and told Aunt Le to have lunch with us.
->*Form:
S + have/ has + already + PP + O (+ already)

*Use:
Diễn tả đã hay chưa hoàn thành 1 việc gì đó hoặc hỏi đã hoàn thành 1 việc gì đó
chưa.
+ Yet: use in questions and negative statements.
+ Already: use in positive statements.
*Position:
+ Yet: at the end pf the sentence.
+ Already: at the end of the sentence or between auxiliary have/ has and PI
- Have Ss translate the sentences into Vietnamese.
2. Practice: Show Ss two posters (P145)
- Have Ss read the information.
a- Has the flight to Vientiane departed yet?
Yes, It has already departed.


b- Has the flight from Los Angeles arrived yet?
No, it hasn’t arrived yet.
- Have Ss work in pairs ( Open - Close).
- Call on some Ss to ask and answer about the flights.
- Give feedback and correct.
II. Language Focus 3:
1. Presentation:
Eg: I've ever been to Da Lat. (finished)
My parents have gone to Da Lat since Monday. (incomplete)
-> Present perfect tense:
Finished actions -> indefinite time (ever, already, …)
Incompleted actions -> definite time (for, since, recently, just, never, …).
2. Practice: L.F 3 (p.146).

- Ask ss to look at the table , read the statements and check the corret column.
Finished actions: a, c, e, f.
Incompleted actions: b, d, g.
III. Compare the past simple with present perfect tense:
1. Presentation:
- Thì QK§: diễn ta hành động đã xảy ra và chấm dứt trong quá khứ hoặc có thời
gian xác định. ( Eg: Nguyen Du wrote "Truyen Kieu").
(I studied English last night)
- Thì HTHT: diễn tả sự kiện đã xảy ra và vẫn còn tiếp tục hay không rõ thời gian.
( Eg: My sister has written a letter).
I have studied English since 2000.
2. Practice: Language Focus 4 (p.146).
- Ask them to work in pairs to complete the dialogues using present perfect or past
simple of the verbs in brackets.
