Warm up:
- Give sts a picture and T describe
about this activities yesterday.
- Sts give the sentences.
- T corrects.
Activity 1:
- Ask sts to give the structure of the
past simple tense.
- Give some example more.
- Let sts compare the past simple with
the present simple.
- the same/ the difference

- Yesterday he watched TV.
- He went swimming with his friend.

1. Past simple:


*form: S + Ved/V2 + .. .
Ex: I bought my bike last year.
S + didnt + V(inf).. .
*Present simple: S + V/Vs/Ves + .. .
(Sts)
* Usage: Thì quá khứ đơn dùng để chỉ hành
động xảy ra tại một thời điểm xác định trong
quá khứ.
- Dùng để chỉ hành động đã xảy ra
trong một khoảng thời gian và đã kết thúc
trong quá khứ.

- Have sts to exercise about the tense.
- Guide sts to do exercise:
(flash card)
- Sts work in groups.
- Introduce the sentence with “wish”
in the exercise.
- Ask sts to give the anwsers.
- Sts write the anwsers on the board.
Activity 2:
- Ask sts to review the sentence with
“wish”.
- Explain about “wish”.

2. Past simple with “wish”:
(subjunction)
*Form: S + wish + S + Ved/V2 ...
Ex: I wish I were taller.
She wishes she went abroad.
*Exercise:
Rewrite the sentences, using the sentence
“wish”:

b. There is a car show at the city show ground,

1. Present Perfect:
* Form: S + have/ has (not) + Ved/ V3 .. .
*Usage: Thì hiện tại hoàn thành dùng để chỉ
hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ và hành động
đó kéo dài đến hiện tại.
Ex: I have learned English for 4 years.
- Diễn tả hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ và
hành động đó không cần xác định rõ vào thời
điểm nào.
Ex: I have read the report already.
- Diễn tả hành động lặp đi lặp lại, một kinh
nghiệm đã qua.
Ex: I have ever been to Dalat several times.
*Note: - since + mốc thời gian (từ.. .)
- for + khoảng thời gian (khoảng.. .)
*Exercise:
Make sentences about the following people
(workbook 1 page 12)
2. Passive:
S + be + P.P. (Ved/ V2) (bị, đợc)
*Trong câu bị động: động từ to be chứng tỏ
thì của câu.
a. Present Simple:
S + am/is/are + P.P.
Ex: Peter eats a cake.
-> A cake is eaten by Peter.
b. Past Simple:

S + was/ were + P.P.
Ex: The personal manages sackek us.
- We were sacked by the personal manager.

* Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn, diễn tả hành động hay
sự việc đang diễn ra lúc nói, diễn tả hành động
đã đợc sắp xếp trớc để làm trong tơng lai gần,
hành động đợc lặp đi lặp lại nhiều lần hay do
thói quen gây ra .. .
Ex: He is sleeping in his room./ is forgetting
3. Present Perfect:
S + has/ have + Ved/ V3.. .
*Thì hiện tại hoàn thành diễn tẩhnh động đã
xảy ra trong quá khứ và cón tiếp tục đến hiện
tại, hành động vừa mới hoàn thành.
Ex: She has just finished her work.
4. Past Simple Tense:
S + Ved/ V2.. .
*Diễn tả hành động đã xảy ra và chấm dứt trong
quá khứ.
Ex: He visited me yesterday.
5. Past Perfect:
S + was/ were + Ving.
*Diễn tả hành động đang diễn ra tại một thời
điểm xác định trong quá khứ. Hành động đang
xảy ra có một hành động khác cắt ngang. Hai
hành động diễn ra đồng thời.
Ex: He was watching TV at 8.00 pm.
6. Simple Future:
S + will + Vinf.. .
*Diễn tả hành động sẽ xảy ra ở tơng lai, dự định
hay dự đoán trong tơng lai.
Ex: Will you open the door, please?
*Exercise:
