INFORMATION ON RESEARCH RESULTS
1. General information:
- Project title: Scientific Background of Learning and Teaching
Listening Comprehension to Vietnamese Students and its Applications in
Coursebooks for Students at Foreign Languages Faculty – Thainguyen
University.

2. Objectives:
- To identify scientific background of the learning and teaching
listening comprehension to Vietnamese students and make applications in
learning and teaching listening comprehension to students at Foreign
Language Faculty – Thainguyen University (FLF-TNU).
3. Creativeness and innovativeness:
- The study has proposed a new approach to listening classification, which
brings advantages to learning and teaching this speaking activity.
- This is the first study to research the scientific background of learning
and teaching listening comprehension to Vietnamese students.
- The study has researched and made full and systematic application of the
literature and practical background in learning and teaching listening
comprehension to a particular subject – students at Foreign Languages
Faculty – Thainguyen University.
4. Research results:
- The study has built up a system of scientific backgrounds of learning and

teaching listening comprehension for Vietnamese students, including
literature and practical backgrounds;
- The study has made specific applications in learning and teaching
listening comprehension to students at Foreign Languages Faculty –
Thainguyen University, i.e., identifying the objectives, contents, methods
and means of organizing learning and teaching activities which were
suitable to the real situations and subjects.
5. Products:
- 01 research report with CD;
- 01 article published in a professional journal;
- 01 complex of model lessons to learn and teach Russian listening
comprehension for students at FLF-TNU.
6. Effects, transfer alternatives of research results and applicability:
- The research results can be applied in designing coursebooks to teach and
learn Listening comprehension to English majors, Russian majors, French
majors and Chinese majors at FLF-TNU; alternatively, they can be used for
the subject “Introduction to foreign language learning and teaching”;
- The research results can also be applied in rearranging, organizing and
ensuring the efficiency of the education and training process at FLF-TNU.
