I. Introduction about enterprise: Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint stock
company
Address: No 16 Lachtray Street, Ngoquyen District, Haiphong city

Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint stock company was formed on the basic of
Vanhoa Ice Company which was established in 15 June 1960 according to
the Decision No.150/QĐUB of People committee of Haiphong city.
On 23th September 2004, Hai Phong City People's Committee launched
Decision No. 2519/QDUB which converted Hai Phong Beer Company as a
State to Haiphong Beer Joint stock company. Haiphong Beer Joint stock
company was established with a charter capital of U.S. $ 25.5002 billion,
with shareholders' equity ratio is 65% state-owned, the shareholder's equity
in the business of 29.5%, of which outside shareholders is now 5.5%.
Haiphong Beer Joint stock company operated as a joint stock company by
the certification of business registration number 0203001024 by
Department of Planning and Investment in Hai Phong City on 20 th
September 2004.


In October 2005, Hai Phong City People's Committee agreed to the transfer
of funds in the State Corporation Hai Phong Beer Company Beer - Alcohol
- Beverage Hanoi (as notified by the 4510/UBND-KHTH, dated 24 August
2005) and the Board of Directors of the Corporation Beer - Alcohol Beverage Hanoi agreed to accept transfer of the state capital of Hai Phong
Joint Stock Company beer (No. 06 45/QD-TCKT / 09/2005). JSC joined
Haiphong beer Corporation Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Hanoi operating as
the parent company - subsidiary.
According to the resolution of the Extraordinary General Meeting of
Shareholders of JSC meeting on 23 October 2005 Haiphong Beer: Beer
Joint Stock Company was renamed to Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint stock

company, with some capital of 25.500.200.000 VNĐ, including capital ratio
of public shareholders by the Corporation Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Hanoi
holds 65% of the shareholders' equity in the business of 29.5 % foreign
capital to shareholders is 5.5%.
II. Actual situation of IT application in Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint
stock company:
According to the report of technical office, the IT application in HanoiHaiphong Beer Joint stock company is at the second phase of applying IT
in enterprise.

All staffs have computer or laptop, which were equipped by the company.
Going along with the Internet connection, the company has Local area
network (LAN). All senior managers use email to communicate with their
junior staff as well as their partners. Besides office software, company also
use a number of other popular software such as SPSS (Statistical package
for social science) to analyse the business data, accounting software MISA
and so on. Candidates who apply to company must meet the minimum
requirement about informatics and English.
However, there are still a number of weaknesses in the IT implementation
of Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint stock company such as disjointed and
unprofessional management which leads to the flow of information in the
company is inaccurate and untimely, the lack of attention to IT application
from the senior managers. In general, it can be said that that the IT
application in Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint stock company are just the
investment in IT equipment and the use of e-office software and some

management software. There is a lack of overall solutions such as resource
management software. Informal documents, paper, contents such as edocuments, email, messages, calendars, minutes, voice mail, web content
as well as data from transfer are not well arranged, which make users meet
difficulties when they want to use or access it.
Another problem in the IT implementation in Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint
stock company is the IT skills of staff. Most of staff are ola and only can
use simple IT application in doing their work. They are not regularly
training and educated IT skills and knowledge. Besides, the company also
have not a strategy to recruit and build a skilful IT staff in order to improve
the use of IT in the company. Now, Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint stock
company has only one staff who bear responsibility for the company’s IT
application.
In addition, the website of company can only provide some information
about the company and its operations. There is an array of disadvantages in
the website such as complicated …, the communication with users is low,
website security is not paid attention enough, the lack of e-commerce,
advisor and internet banking. All sales of company are undertaken through
traditional ways or by the system of agencies.
III. SWOT of IT and E-commerce in Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint stock
company:
* Strengths:
- A well-known brand with a lot of customer.
* Weaknesses:
- A low level of staff’s IT skills,
- IT equipments are out-modelled.
- The budget for IT application is insufficient.
* Opportunity:

- The online payment has been increasingly expanded

- Customers and partners also concern on using IT and e-commerce.
- Government has a lot of policies stimulating the use of IT in enterprise.
* Threats:
- Competition with other domestic and international beer companies.
- Higher requirements by customer.
- Website security and partner’s reliability are important problems when
using e-commerce.
- The legal system and documents about e-commerce are not clearly and
closely.
4. Comparing with other competitors:
Vietnamese beer market is extremely exciting with a number of companies
such as Vietnamese Beer limited company, Hanoi beer and wine
corporation, SABECO company and so on. However, according to the
latest report, there is no beer company having e-commerce. Therefore, if
Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint stock company could build and develop an ecommerce, they will be the vanguard in this field.
5. Experience and lesson from other domestic and external beer
companies:
Experts indicated that there 10 popular mistakes that companies often make
when building and developing the e-commerce namely:
- The website is not well-designed.
- The website is not used for the right aims and target.
- Difficulties when customers want to sale on the website.

It can be seen that security is one of the most important problems in ecommerce. From the experiences and lessons from other companies, we
can point out some solution that companies should concern if they want to
ensure the security in e-commerce such as:
- Enhancing security of transactions: To do this, companies can refer
to a number of solutions such as data encryption, electronic
signature, envelope number and certificate authorities.

Storing data in various forms many places: in order to prevent the
risk of danger by natural disasters, unexpected incidents or terrorist
act of war ... that data were stored in electronic commerce a number
of places is important and meaningful. This brings about the safety
and continuity of online business operations.

Using anti-virus software: Virus is always threats to the enterprise
when they do e-commerce. The destruction of the virus cannot be
predicted. Hence, in order to combat the onslaught of computer
viruses, companies need to install the effective anti-virus software
and update to prevent the newest virus.

Insurance: The above measures are necessary to prevent the risk of
uncertainty in e-commerce. But no matter companies applies what
measures, they cannot ensure about the safety because there are a

development of e-commerce activities in the period 2012 - 2016, vision to
2020 as follows:
- Combining information technology with business to ensure growth and
innovation for the company.
- Construction of e-commerce systems, online sales through website.
- Ensure visibility throughout the organization chart of the company, along
with a mastery of technology to become a change agent for the business,
gradually moving into the role and organization of business strategy.
- Dispersion of company resources sensibly, and switch the focus from the
efficient management and cost-cutting to creating new ways to increase the
competitiveness of companies.
- At the forefront of change, investment by focusing your energies on
business processes, relationships, flow of information and services;
- Researching all possibilities to cut costs by looking at information
technology as a way to provide flexible solutions and efficiency, such as to
take advantage of virtualization technology to make the multiple
workspaces, while ensuring maximum efficient exploitation of the
application, or software models is a service (Software as a Service - SaaS).
- Embracing and efficiently exploiting social media to help promote the
image of the product, brand.
- Building a team of information technology professionals for high quality
companies.

CONCLUSION:
The developing of human being's creations seems non stopping. We annualy
supplied a big number of: Hanoi-Haiphong Beer Joint stock company. Belonging
the E-World developing trends, Vietnamese managers realized the importance of
IT & Communicational Techologies (CT) to the developments of Productivity,
Commercial Term of Economy, the payment term of banking, the approach ways
of education and E-business trend of commodity.
Nowadays, with the developments of IT & CT with smartphones touch screens,
to supplying tools for jobs, and moreover, people seem to spend more time infont
of computer screen. So that, E-business term is a suitable and signifcant term to

brand recognization, to advertise goods or service.
The convinent and cheap tools of communication for working, such as: Email,
YM talk and Group chat via Facebook, gmail., skype...Being a maneger as well
as a educational expert, I myself realize the importance of IT to Eductaion
Developments, Business Developments and Society Developments I am grateful
admire the efforts of Dr. Nguyen Van Thoan for his lectures.
