master these phrasal verbs.
Do without sth/sb = to manage without something or somebody, although you wish you
had it
Drag on = to last longer than is necessary, often to the point of boredom
Go through sth = to experience a difficult or unpleasant situation
Border on sth = to be very close to a particular quality or feeling
We’ll have to do without using the car for a few days while it’s in for repair. You’ll have to
take the bus to work tomorrow.
Store assistant: Sorry, we don’t have any milk today due to a problem with the delivery
truck.
