8. Summary of the new findings of the thesis
8.1. New contributions
On the basis of research and inherit the achievements of the studies related to this
topic, the thesis gained the following new contributions: Firstly, it initially developed the
concept of diplomatic culture and Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic culture. It deepened the
basic characteristics and values of Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic culture; secondly, on the
basis of theory and practice, the thesis proposed major solutions to raise the awareness of
Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic culture and apply it effectively in the international integration
context inVietnam.

8.2. New findings from research and survey results
Firstly, Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic culture is the category of culture associated with
the diplomatic service. It is unique values of Ho Chi Minh's thought, method, style and
diplomatic art on the basis of inheriting and developing the best of our culture and
diplomatic experience. Therefore, Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic culture is not only a
landmark crystallization of an existing process, but also a path to the future. Ho Chi
Minh's diplomatic culture is of national and global stature, and contains profound
theoretical and practical values. Ho Chi Minh devoted to human a unique and modem
diplomacy - a tolerant diplomatic culture, developing diplomatic relations on the basis of
trust and sincerity. Furthermore, Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic culture continues to guide
and pave the way for the Vietnamese's in the future.
Secondly, in the curent international integration situation, every country needs to
focus on diplomacy and to create favorable objective and subjective conditions for the
best or least unfavorable position in international relations. Using culture and through
diplomatic culture to build our nation's image and look for new opportunities is an
intellectual choice. Nowadays, the curent Vietnamese diplomatic culture's reality raised
the need for researching and applying Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic culture in developing
modem Vietnamese diplomacy, awakening the hidden power of Vietnamese people,
country and culture, taking advantages of favorable conditions of international
integration. However, to successfully apply Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic culture, it is
necessary to have a system of synchronous solutions based on the theoretical and
practical basis with the viewpoints and policies closely attached to the implementing
subjects, especially the leadership and officials directly involved in foreign affairs.
