near metropolitan demand centers, while not exceeding the supply available from each plant and meeting
the demand from each metropolitan area. The company has plants in Dong Nai, Long An, Nha Trang,
Phan Thiet.
The demand of five centers are as follows: Hue 180, Da Nang 80, Hochiminh 200, Binh Duong 160,
Vung tau 220.
The highest capacity four plants can supply is as follows : Dong Nai 310, Long An 260, Nha Trang 280,
Phan Thiet 100.
Please do the following
a) Open MS. Excel, cthe reate the worksheet sketched in Figure 1, save the workbook as YourID.xls
b) Use Solver to find out optimized solution for bringing down distribution cost
