Lesson 1: Getting Started.


Listen and read.

<b>Step 1: Pre - reading </b>


- Today, we are going to read a
dialogue about how to express
interest .Let's start with some new
words.


- Elicit words from sts.
1. Pre- teach


- Something such as grain, rice , fruit
… is grown in one season.


- It is used to make sugar.
- (traslation)


- The drive takes 40 minutes. It 's a
forty-minute drive.



- Ask sts to notice that a plural noun
must be chaged to the singular form
when preceding the noun it modifies in
a noun phrase.


- Have sts drill some more: ( oral =>
writing).


- Sts listen


- Listen and repeat (chorally then
individually)


- Copy.


* Checking vocabulary: Rub out and
remember


2. Guiding questions:


- Set the scene and put the chart with
questions on the board


- Ask Ss to think about the questions in
a few minutes


- Have Ss listen to the tape while
reading the dialogue



- Get Ss to work in pairs to answer the
questions


- Call on some pairs to give their
answers
