I. Aims

2. Warm up (4 mins)

Spend a few minutes revising Good morning/Good

afternoon/Good evening and See you tomorrow/See you later. Get
pupils to do a dictation, using the phrases learnt in the previous
lessons.

Follow the procedure in Activities Bank in Introduction. Pupils can 
play the game Bingo if there is enough time

3. New lesson.

* Listen and repeat

- Have Ss open the book page10, draw 
their attention to the letters colored

- Produce the sound of the letter l and n

repeat

necessary/ correct typical pronunciation

- Have the whole class recite the chant to

- Ask Ss what they have to do in this
sentences.

- Play the tape twice

- Ask them to listen and write the answers
- Call someone to write on the board, check

* Let's chant

- Show the chart of the chant
 Hello, friends!
- Play the tape a few times.

- Ask Ss to read aloud each line in the song
and clap their hands

- Ask them to listen again and repeat
- Have Ss practice the chant in pairs
- Call each group, then pairs to perform
- Correct and comment

- Play the tape once to reinforce their
pronunciation

- In this lesson, Ss have learned how to
pronounce 2 sounds /l / , /n /.

10 of the Pupil’s Book.Get pupils to open their books on Page 12
and read the title I’m from Japan. Check their comprehension
by using a world map on which Japan is circled.
