Aims: By the end of the period, Ss will be able to ask and answer about What someone like doing . Language focus: What do you like doing? I like swiming . Lexical items: - skipping, collecting stamps, cooking, swimming, playing chess, watching TV, listening to music, reading… . Teaching aids: Ss’ book, radio, Cd, ect. B. Procedures: 1. Warm - up: - Listen to the song this is the way we go to school. 2. Look, listen and repeat. - Set the scene: T asks: Who are they? Where are they? What is he doing?( point to Phong and Nam) What are they talking about? Then T gives feedback. - Ask Ss to listen and repeat from twice to three times. - Ask Ss to work in pair. - Call some Ss to roleplay the dialogue in the pictures - Correct their pronunciation - Explain to Ss some vocabulary: T mimes, S guess: a lot of books, like reading … - Help Ss understand the meaning of the dialogues - Elicit sentence patterns from Ss What do you like doing? I like watching TV. Elicit: to ask and answer about what? Hoppy or someone like something 3. Aim: By the end of the period, Ss will be able to pracice listening, writing and speaking about what someone like doing. . Language focus: Revise 1. Lexical items: reading comic books, making a model, flying skites, eating pizza. 2. Sentences patterns: What do you like doing? I like cooking. . Teaching aids: radio, Cd, ect. B. Procedures: 1. Warm – up. T asks : What do you like doing? S1: I like dancing but I don’t like singing S2: I like ….. but I don’t like…… S3: I …………but I ……… S4: ……………………….. T writes on the board. Then chant aloud 2. Listen and tick. Instructions: - Have S identify the activities in each picture: - Look at the pictures: 1 a. what does Linda like doing? b. what does she like doing? c. what does she like doing?. Lexical items: - playing badminton, playing the guitar, play football, riding a bike, taking photos, . Teaching aids: radio, Cd, ect. B. Procedures: 1. Warm – up. - play the game: noughts and crosses Questions: What do you like doing?
