Objective 1. Language focus - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to recognize the /k/ and /d/ sounds. Vocabulary: Cc, cap. 2. Skills - Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing skills 3. Core competencies & Personal qualities - Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s aids: Ss’book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, projector, TV. 2. Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, workbook. III. Method - Model - Talk - Practice, individual work, pair work, group work. IV. Procedures Teacher - Students’ activities 1. Warm up (5’) “Unscramble”. - Divide the class into small groups and give each group a mini-board. - Show the unscramble words and ask the groups to write the correct answers on the miniboards. E.g. okbo -> book. - The group with more correct words in shorter time will be the winner. The alphabet (5’) - T plays the alphabet song and asks Ss to listen. - T plays the CD again and sing the song. - T put the flashcards on the board for the letters in red (c and d). - T point to each flashcard, call out the letter's name and asks Ss to repeat. 2. New lesson *Activity 1. Listen and repeat. Trace. (10’) - T asks Ss to look at the letter. - T plays the CD and asks Ss to listen and repeat all together and individually.. Content. The alphabet. 1. Listen and point, repeat. a. Vocab cap: mũ lưỡi trai.

Listen and repeat. (5’) 2. Listen and repeat. Listen and repeat - T asks Ss to look at the picture, letter and word. - T plays the CD and asks Ss to listen and point to the letter and word as they hear. - T asks Ss to listen and repeat all together and individually. Correct Ss’s pronunciation. - T calls some Ss demonstrate the activity in front of the class. *Activity 3. Sing. (5’) 3. Sing. - T asks Ss to look at the lyrics and pictures. - T read the lyrics as a whole class. - T play the CD and asks Ss to listen and point at the letters/words. - T asks Ss to listen and sing along. - T asks Ss to sing and make a gesture (of a cap). - T asks Ss to sing and make the gesture in front of the class. *Activity 4. Listen and hop (5’) 4. Listen and clap. - T demonstrate the activity. - T asks Ss to stand up. - T asks Ss to hop when they hear the 'c' sound. - T calls some Ss to demonstrate the activity in front of the class. 3.
