REVIEW (Part 1)

I. Objective
1. Language focus
- By the end of this lesson, students will review words from getting started to unit
5.
2. Skills
- Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing skills.
3. Core competencies & Personal qualities
- Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary.
II. Teaching aids
1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, projector, TV.
2. Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, workbook.
III. Method
- Model - Talk - Practice, individual work, pair work, group work.

1. Warm up (5’)
*Activity: Hold it up
- T asks Ss to put crayons with different colors on
their desks.
- T say a color and asks Ss to hold up their


crayons.
2. New lesson
*Activity 1. Review new words (15’)
1. Review new words
- T stick asks Ss to look at the pictures and call
out the words they can see on the board.
Vocab:
Hello, goodbye, stand up, sit down, listen,
mother, father, brother, sister, pencil, book, bag,
red, yellow, blue, pink, white, flower, head, leg,
arm, cat, dog, bird, monkey, snake, bear.
- T lets Ss read aloud and correct their mistake.
*Activity:"
Guess the picture"(15')
Guess the picture”

- T asks Ss to look at the example.
- T divide the class into two teams.
- T asks Ss to stand facing away from the board


and stick a flashcard on the board behind him/her.
- T asks Ss to try to guess the color and make a
sentence without looking at the flashcard. Have
the others say “Yes” for the correct sentence and
“No” for the wrong sentence.
- T give that team one point if it's a correct guess.
3. Application
- Ask Ss to repeat the words from getting started
to unit 5.
