I. Objectives:
- Practice listening.
- Futher practice with work’s vocabulary.
II. Preparation:
- Textbook, cassette and tape.
III. Teaching procedure:

- Give back the testing papers.

A. Warm- up:
- Introduce the lesson.
B. Presentation:


* Pre - reading:
- Give some guided questions:
 What time do your classes start ?
 What do they finish ?
 For how many hours a day do you do your homework ?
- Introduce the lesson.
- Ss listen to the tape twice.
- T explains some new words or phrases:
to be late for school: muộn làm việc gì.
That take two hours to do ST: mất hai tiếng để làm việc gì.


Summer vacation = summer holiday.
Last: kéo dài.
* While - reading:
- Ss practice reading in pairs .
- Call some pairs to practice reading aloud.
- Ask Ss to answer the given questions in textbook.
- Call two Ss to write the answers on the board while the rest do it orally.
- Give feedback.
- T gives the right ones:
a) They start at 7 o’clock.


b) They finish at a quarter past eleven.
c) Hoa does her homework 2 hours a day.
d) She will visit her parents on their farm during her vacation.
4. Consolidation:

- Ss practice asking and answering about Ss’ work.

- Futher practice on reading and listen.

- Ss read the letter to answer the given questions.

- Give the correct answers:
a) Summer vacation is the longest in America.
b) During his vacation, Tim spends time with his family.
c) Vietnamese students have fewer vacation than American students.
* Pre - listening:
- Ss guess the public holiday in the picture.
- Write Ss’ guessing on the BB.
* While - listening:

- Ss listen to the tape twice.
- Ss compare their answers with their guessing.
- Play the tape for Ss to check their answers.

* While - reading:
- Ss read the text once.
- Ss give out the main ideas of the text.
- T explains the grammar structures:

This is fewer hours than any workers.
- Ss read the text again, then work in groups to answer the given questions.
- Ss compare their answers with the others.
- Give feedback.
- Give the right answers:

- Read through the text about Mr Tuan.
- Explain some new words in this part:
feed: cho ăn

collect the eggs: thu nhặt trứng
crop: vụ, mùa màng

pig: con lợn
grow rice: trồng lúa
buffalo shed: chuồng trâu

- Call some Ss to read the text aloud.
