<b>I. Aims.</b>


<b>1.Knowledge.</b>


- By the end of the lesson, students can be able to recognize and pronounce the
letter Hh and its sound correctly


-Understand, recognize and say the three Hh words and Write the letter Hh

- Educate Ss to be friendly with friends.

<b>T: teachers’ book, , CD, phonics cards ,paper including the lyrics of the chant </b>

<b>2.Warm up ( 5’)</b>


<b>- Greet the students by saying: Hello class</b>
<b>-</b> Have students play a game: toss the envelop.


Give instruction for the game. The students will get an envelope with the previous
flash cards inside. While teacher plays the music, student tosses the envelop to the
next person. When the music stop, the student who is holding the envelop has to
pick out one flash card and read aloud. If the student reads correctly, continue to
toss the envelop. If the student reads incorrectly, he/she has to dance following a
song then

<b>-</b> Use the phonics cards with hat, hen, and
<i><b>hippo, read the words out loud and have </b></i>
students repeat.


<b>-</b> Ss: listen and repeat.



<b>-</b> Ss: work individually and pairs.


<b>-</b> Use gestures (hand actions) to help the
students to understand the meanings of the
three words.


<b>-</b> Stick the cards on board and have the
students repeat the words chorally several
times (in the correct order and then in any
order).


<b>-</b> Call some students to say the words out
loud and correct their mistakes (if any)
<b>Activity 2: Sit and Stand Game (5’)</b>


<b>-</b> Show the 3 phonics cards one by one. For
example, show the card with hen, but
incorrectly say hippo or hat, the students
will stand; if the words are correctly said,
they will stay sitting.


<b>-</b> Ss: listen and do.
<b>-</b> Ss: work individually.


<b>-</b> Do the same procedure for the other two
cards.


<b>-</b> Give feedback


<b>Activity 3: Writing in the air(5’)</b>



Show the letter Hh again, have the students
write the Hh in air with their finger


<b>-</b>Ss: look at the phonic card and write in
the air.


<b>-</b>-Ss: work individually.
<b>-</b>Correct.


<b>4.Consolidation: (5’)</b>

the chant again using gestures for each
word.
