- You are going to listen three dialogues about
places the characters are going and tick the correct
picts.


- Ask ss to look at the picts to identify three places
in Viet nam and say the names aloud.


- Play CD twice.


- Play the CD again to check ss’ answers.

<b>4. Look and write(10’)</b>


<b>- Tell ss that they are going to write the answers to </b>
the questions where they are going, using pic cues.
- Give them a few seconds to look at the questions


and answer to identify the words they need to


complete the answers. Then focus on their attentions

repetition of the song line by line choral and
individual.


- Play the CD again and get ss to sing along.


- Devide class into two teams: one sing question and
one sings answer.

ask and answer questions about their future plans.
- Ask ss to look at the four pictures to identify the
characters and the context in which the language is
usued: Who are they?Where are they? What are they
doing?


+a: Linda asks Mai what she is doing and Mai says
she is preparing for her summer holidays.


+b: Linda asks Mai where are you going? And Mai
answers I’m going to Phu Quoc.


+c: Linda continues to ask Mai what are you going
to do there? And Mai answers I’m going to swim in
the sea.

<b>- Tell ss that they are going to write the answers to </b>
the questions where they are going to do, using pic
cues.


- Give them a few seconds to look at the incomplete
sentences to identify the missing information they
need to fill in. Then ask them to look at the pictures
to identify what the ss are going to do. After that let


them to find appropriate phrases to complete


sentences.


- Give them time to do indepently.Go round offering
help if necessary.


- Ask them to swap the answers.
<b>5. Let’s play(10’) </b>


- You are going to play the game say where.
- Put a large map of Viet Nam on the board and
highlight some major citites/ places. Divide ths class
in to groups of four and ask three groups of ss to
stand in 3 lines facing the board. Ask where are you
going this summer holidays? The 1st<sub> pp in group 1 </sub>


answer: we are going to…. The 1st<sub> pp in two other </sub>


groups have to find the place on the map and point
at it. The quicker pp wins a point for the group. The
groups take turn to answer the question and the pp
who have pointed should go to the end of the
queues. After all pp have had a go, the groups with
most point is winner. Then ask three other groups to
play the game. Maybe ask the winners to play final.
